A set of hornpipes that I learned from Dan Gurney's album "Traditional Irish Music on the Button Accordion", the second one of which was also played by the wonderful Joe Derrane. I think Joe Burke also played the first one.

【week 5】Lockdown Challenge for myself!!
≪Learn a tune in somebody's style≫
this is the last video of my lockdown challenge!!
thank you all who have watched the videos, liked them, shared them and left comments😊 all of those encouraged me so much!
so, the 5th week of the challenge, i tried a set of jigs that i learned from a Flanagan Brothers' recording featuring Joe and Mike Flanagan. the set is entitled "Sarsfield Lilt".

4th week, I tried a set of jigs that i learned from Finbarr Dwyer's playing. im not sure what these tunes are called. the first tune sounds like the Eavesdropper jig... i don't know... there might even be only one tune that he played...! please leave comments if anyone knows anything about this set!

two hornpipes this time from the repertoire of great Co. Wexford accodionist George Ross, played by Kanako on accordion and Brian on piano.
Kanako first heard these two tunes in Galway in 2009, and didn't come across them again until she heard Colm Gannon play them at the Finbarr Dwyer concert, which took place in Ennis during the All Ireland Fleadh Ceoil 2017.

Kanako first heared these two tunes played together in a sesson in Galway led by flute player George Grasso. This set was on a CD intitled "pathway to the well" recorded by Matt Molloy and John Carty.
