💡 About the program

🗣️
“We have so many passionate makers, builders, creators, all over the world who are inspiring others with their approach to Notion, and we’re excited about bringing these people together to share their stories. Ambassadors are so core to who we are at Notion so we wanted to design a program that celebrates and empowers them to accomplish even more.”
Diana Wong, Head of Community @ Notion
Welcome! ✨
The Notion Ambassador Program brings together our most passionate and creative users from all over the world.
Ambassadors are passionate volunteers who want to teach and share Notion with others. Along the way, we want to support your efforts to bring Notion to others by providing playbooks, resources, and inspiration. We also want to connect Notion power users to share best practices, work through challenges, and collaborate with bright, like-minded colleagues who can help them elevate their Notion game.

🛠️ What Ambassadors do

Ambassadors bring their passion for and experience with Notion to others in their communities in a variety of ways. Although we regularly discover and invent new approaches to the mission of the program. Notion Ambassadors most commonly do one or more of the following:

Host events and meet-ups

notion imagenotion image
Bring your passion IRL! Plan a meet-up, teach a workshop, host a Notion show-and-tell, or anything in between.

Lead local and virtual communities

notion imagenotion image
Organize your geographical area, affinity group, social club, and more. Be the friendly face of Notion in your community, whether you gather at a local coffee shop or on a Discord server.

Create educational content

notion imagenotion image
Inspire others by creating and sharing tutorials, workspace tours, frameworks, templates, courses, newsletters, or whatever medium best fits your style and audience.
Although it’s not required, we’re especially excited to invite Ambassadors into the program who are already sharing Notion with others through content or community building. Visit our tips for a successful application to learn more.

“My inspiration to join the Notion Ambassador program came from a spontaneous visit to San Francisco, where I had the chance to tour Notion’s headquarters. The team arranged for me to meet Ivan and Simon, which was an incredible experience. Since joining, I’ve realized the immense benefits of access to expertise, information, and a network of other Notion creators. The vibrant Notion Slack Community has become a primary driver for my continued involvement.” - Bryan, Notion US

    1. Tips for a successful application
We’re always looking for new perspectives and approaches as we grow our Ambassador program. Successful applications clearly communicate three things:
      1. Your Experience - Though it isn’t a requirement, top applications point to examples of Notion events, communities, or content they’ve already built (links to examples are always appreciated!). If you don’t have experience building Notion communities, let us know about similar activities you may have been a part of in the past, or any translatable skills that may be helpful for us to know about. We also love to hear about your Notion philosophy, including what you’ve built and how you use it. The more details and examples you give, the more we have to work with when reviewing your application.
      1. Your Vision - Do you have a specific interest group or geographical area you want to organize around Notion? How might you want to organize them? Why do you think this would be valuable? You don’t need to get too deep into logistics, but a sketch of your goals helps us to understand what you hope to bring to the program.
      1. Your Why - Ambassadors don’t have to be Notion experts, but they are passionate builders. Make sure to provide a sense for why this program is exciting to you and what drives you to apply. This is a great space to highlight relevant anecdotes or details that might help us understand your enthusiasm for Notion. Beyond your personal appreciation for Notion, what makes you want to bring Notion to others?

❓ FAQs

About applying
Can I still apply if there are already Notion Ambassadors in my region?
Yes! There is no limit on Ambassadors in any particular region. Supporting or supplementing existing efforts in an area is a great way to transition into the Ambassador program. We can introduce you to your fellow regional Ambassadors! 🙂
Can I apply for the program if I’m a student?
Our Campus Leaders program is designed specifically for students who would like to bring Notion to others. If you’re currently in school, we recommend applying for our Campus Leaders program. Upon graduation, contact us at community@makenotion.com about transitioning to the Notion Ambassadors program. We’d love to continue to work with you even after you graduate!
What are the criteria for acceptance into the Notion Ambassadors program?
In order to be considered for the program…
  • You must be at least 18 years of age
  • You must complete the application form, including reviewing and agreeing to our Brand Guidelines and Code of Conduct
  • You can commit about 1-2 hours a month in service to the community by creating content, hosting events, or pursuing any other ideas you may have to help bring Notion to others
  • You agree to participate in the Ambassador Slack at least once a week
Do I have to be a Notion expert to be an Ambassador?
No, you don't! Our dream for this program is to be able to connect people who have been using Notion for years with people who've only just fallen in love with it (or who may be learning about it for the first time). Yes, we want to work with Ambassadors who can be of service by teaching Notion to others, but we're just as thrilled when newer users want to share what they’ve discovered. Members of the program often learn a lot through each other and become experts quickly!
Do I have to have already hosted Notion events or created Notion content to be considered?
No! Although top applicants have an existing example to point to, it is not a requirement for acceptance into the program. If you don’t have a specific example to point to, it helps to share relevant experience and provide details about what you’d like to do as a part of the program.
Do I have to be fluent in English to be an Ambassador?
Absolutely not! We're thrilled to partner with Ambassadors from all over the world who speak different languages.
Can I apply to both the Champions and Ambassador programs?
No. To provide the most value for members of each community we only accept applicants into one program. If you would like to learn more about the Champions program please feel free to check out our community page here.
When will I know if I'm a Notion Ambassador?
We review applications once a month at the end of each month. We receive a lot of inquiries, so we apologize in advance if it takes us a while to get back to you. In the meantime, we'd love to see what you're creating and organizing, so don't stop sharing with us. We really appreciate your patience and look forward to meeting you!
If I get accepted into the program, what happens next?
Look out for an email from community@makenotion.com with your notice of acceptance and information about what’s needed from you to move forward. All new Ambassadors must attend a live virtual onboarding session in order to join the program. During the session, you’ll learn more about the resources available to you and get the opportunity to meet others joining your cohort.
If I did not get accepted into the program, can I reapply?
Yes, you may reapply. However, we encourage you to explore opportunities in the meantime that may strengthen your application. Because applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, an identical application likely won’t yield different results a second time. We encourage you to explore hosting a Notion event in your community or creating a piece of content around your Notion use in order to bolster your application!

About the program
How would you describe the Notion Ambassador program?
The Notion Ambassador program was inspired by existing meet-ups, classes, videos, and more popping up organically around the world. We hope to bring together Notion's biggest fans and power users who love getting more people excited about what the product can do. Our aim is to connect these passionate folks with each other, give them insight into what we're up to behind the scenes, and support and celebrate their events and projects! 🙌
How long is the commitment?
One year. After a year, you can choose to go through the same application process again to renew your membership. If at any point you are no longer able to participate in the program, simply message us. No hard feelings!
What kind of support will Notion provide?
Ambassadors receive access to resources and playbooks that are designed to help you host events, create content, or launch and manage local or virtual communities. The Notion Community Team is available to answer questions and provide guidance, and the Ambassador community is a great resource for inspiration and advice. You can also collaborate with veteran Ambassadors on any ideas you have in mind!
Are the only ways to participate hosting events or creating content?
No! We’re very open to any ideas or projects that you believe will resonate with your chosen audience. These are the most common ways that Ambassadors share Notion with others, but we’ve seen many creative approaches from the community.

About benefits
Can I make money as a Notion Ambassador?
Participation in only voluntary. While it's possible to monetize your activities outside of the program as a consultant or Notion template builder, there are no official opportunities to be compensated within the Ambassadors program. You can learn more about building a Notion business here.
If I become an Ambassador am I more likely to be hired by Notion?
No. Notion hiring decisions are made independently of whether someone is a Notion Ambassador or not, and we run fair and open processes for all roles. We want to make sure expectations are clearly set that joining this program does not increase the likelihood of or opportunities for being hired by the team. If you’re interested in exploring open roles at Notion, please visit our careers page.
How much contact do Ambassadors get with the Notion team?
Ambassadors are added to a private Slack group with Notion team members and your fellow Notion Ambassadors so you can ask questions and share ideas that we'll take a close look at! You'll also get access to some early features with opportunities to share your feedback with the team so they can make improvements before they go out the door for everyone else!

Other questions
What are Notion Consultants?
Notion Consultants are productivity experts who generate income by helping other users set up and get more value out of their workspaces. This is a program Notion runs completely separately from the Ambassadors.
To become a Notion Consultant, you need to complete a rigorous application and certification program to demonstrate extraordinary competencies with the tool, productivity methodologies, and complementary systems. Those who pass the test are added to an official directory of consultants, discoverable by Notion customers. If you’re interested in learning more, visit our Notion Consultants page.
If I'm not in the program, does that mean I can't host events or make Notion content?
Absolutely not! Please keep it up ☺️ We don't want to stand in the way of anyone being enthusiastic about Notion. We not only want you to keep doing what you're doing, but please tell us about it at notioncommunity@makenotion.com. We want to keep in touch and hear what you're up to!
Outside of the Ambassadors, there are many other ways to engage with Notion's community. Please see our Community page for more ideas and options!
